According to an ET News article, american 3D animation studio Kanbar Entertainment (maker of Hoodwinked) is setting up a studio in Kyeonggi province near Seoul. Kanbar entered an agreement with Kyeonggi Digital Contents Promotion Association, agreeing to spend more than 60 million US dollars over 5 years on the production of 3 films in Korea. This is the first investment of this scale by a 3D animation studio in Asia.
